Consumer Electronics Show ~ 2009

The "J" in J-Corder

J-corder CES Exhibitor

Venetian Suites

CES 2009 is an event that we will remember for a long time.  This was our first time exhibiting at the show and we had a great time meeting fellow music lovers from around the world.

Back in the day when Jeff had his retail store, attending CES was a highlight of his year. Never did he think that one day he would attend as an exhibitor representing his own company.

For all who attended we hope that you enjoyed visiting with us.  For those who were not able to travel to Las Vegas here are some pictures from the show.

Enjoy!

Impressions from CES

"I spent an inordinate amount of time in this guy's  (J-corder) demo. The reason so much time was spent here was that it just sounded musical. Homemade speakers, non hifi amps but music - oh boy... at 15IPS it simply blew away well over 95% of ANY other offering in the show - it came very close to the best vinyl replay to be had (that was in the form of the GrandPrix Monaco turntable - which was comfortably out performing the continuum thing with its snake arm!)

Why? He wasn't trying to impress, wasn't trying to measure anything, just there to scratch an itch and make music. He succeeded so well he made most others sound extremely 'broken'."
Stephen Hitch, UK

"He (Jeff) has basically eliminated tape hiss but not by any noise reduction system, just by improving the components on the board which yield a dynamic output like nothing I've ever heard before. The meters were flat out PEGGED and there was no breakup, saturation, or distortion."
Joel Kozlowski, US

Six Technics Tape Decks were used in
the main display.

Keeping with the vintage theme Jeff made the speakers using old Epicure cabinets he had from the 70's and a simple array of 8" woofers and tweeters.  He also brought a Technics SST system
with Bass Exciter and Speaker Horns
